The high-pixel count CCD in QuantiFire does not sacrifice photodiode size to attain a 4-megapixel array. This ensures a high signal to noise ratio while allowing a widefield of view. 12-Bit CCD Monochrome Imaging
The high bit level of this camera ensures that precision quantitative data is maintained in faint samples. Image enhancement can be performed without causing images to have abrupt brightness changes when there is a subtle change in image intensity. Suitable applications include:
Live Frame Averaging with Motion Compensation
Extremely faint samples can be viewed in real-time with frame averaging. Noise caused by high gain settings can be lowered so that fine detail is made visible. The exclusive motion compensation control allows the investigator to move and focus the specimen with alacrity.
Real-time Gamma, Brightness and Contrast Control
Low contrast specimens which are invisible through the oculars of the microscope can be made visible on the computer monitor with the live gamma, brightness, and control. The maximum information content of the specimen is made visible in real-time.
Automated 3-Pass RGB color Imaging
Three sequential exposures through red, green, and blue filters can be taken and combined automatically with the CRI® Macro-Color™ tunable RGB liquid crystal filter. Generate up to 12-million RGB color images with any Optronics monochrome camera ot obtain the highest on-chip resolution possible for a given pixel array.
Sophisticated Firewire® Interface
Optronics was first with the development of Firewire based microscope cameras and we know how to implement it correctly. There is no need for an expensive video capture board. Just insert the Firewire cable into your desktop or your laptop computer, PC or Mac and you are capable of digital recording and documentation.

Hardware accelerated video display for full resolution, full screen preview. Investigators can project images on a computer monitor or on a screen with a LCD projector for teaching or discussion. With real time auto exposure, the investigator can change magnification for his audience for instant close-ups.
PictureFrame® Imaging Application Included – NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE
PictureFrame is our fully integrated software package that has the necessary tools for preparing, analyzing and presenting publication quality images. Measurements, comments, and scale bars can be placed on the image. Flat-Field Correction and Background subtraction ensures that all the details of the specimen can be revealed and that distracting defects in the optical train are removed. Real time color control can provide fine adjustments of colored images so that the projected image matches the view through the oculars. Sequential images can be saved as AVI files and a video image viewed on personal computers.
